چکیده

Purpose Assessment and a direct comparison of retinal vessel density with the thickness inner layer (IRL) outer (ORL) in same regions macula subjects Alzheimer’s disease (AD) primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). Methods We analyzed data from 48 eyes healthy control (HC) participants, 71 POAG, 49 AD patients. Ophthalmic examination included optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging to measure IRL ORL OCT angiography (OCTA) region for superficial vascular plexus (SVP) deep (DVP) retina. A layers thickness, which different dynamic ranges, was obtained by normalizing values as percentage losses. Results Patients presented significantly greater losses DVP compared POAG (p <0.001), but SVP were considerable (p<0.001). Positive associations among presence observed primarily retina where 1% decrease associated about 24–29% increase odds AD. According OCTA measurements, positively 4–9% In positive only loss 13–23% risk disease. Conclusions Analysis could potentially improve diagnostic capabilities may provide valuable approach predicting

Evaluation of Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography Findings in Patients with Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion

Purpose: To analyze the correlation of optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) findings with visual acuity (VA) in patients with branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO). Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 20 eyes of 20 patients with unilateral BRVO involving the macula referred to the ophthalmology clinic of Rassoul Akram Hospital. OCTA imaging was conducted for all patie...

Correlation between Visual Acuity and Optical Coherence Tomography-Measured Retinal Thickness in Diabetic Macular Edema

Background and Objective: Diabetic macular edema (DME) is one of the common complications of diabetes which significantly accounts for preventable visual impairment and blindness. Central macular thickness (CMT) is a feature found in DME patients. This study aims to determine the relationship between optical coherence tomography (OCT)-measured CMT and visual acuity (VA) in patients with DME bef...

Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography Macular and Peripapillary Vessel Perfusion Density in Healthy Subjects, Glaucoma Suspects, and Glaucoma Patients.

Purpose To evaluate macular and peripapillary vessel perfusion density (VD) in glaucoma suspects (GS) and glaucoma patients; to correlate ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) and retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thicknesses with macular and peripapillary VD; and to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of the structural and vascular parameters. Methods A consecutive series of GS, glaucoma p...
